TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan: In a move to protect and conserve the dwindling population of eels, the fisheries bureau here has joined a London-based conservation group in its eel-tagging activity in Cagayan Valley (Region 2).

Nelson Bien, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resource (BFAR)-Cagayan Valley officer in charge regional director, said the activity was part of the effort of his office and the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) to save the declining population of eels in the region.
