THE bidding for the third telco company that will operate in the Philippines is expected to push through on Wednesday after the Supreme Court (SC) did not issue a temporary restraining order (TRO) and a local court denied a similar petition that would have stopped the process.

At the resumption of the en banc session on Tuesday after its recess, the high court did not act on a petition by Now Telecom asking it to declare as unconstitutional the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) awarding of 700 megahertz (MHz) broadcast frequency and other telecom frequencies to PLDT Inc./Smart Communications Inc. and Globe Telecoms.
