FLEXING his dominance all season long, University of the Philippines (UP) center Bright Akhuetie grabbed the Most Valuable Player award in Season 81 of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) men’s basketball tournament.

Akhuetie became the first Fighting Maroon in 32 years to snag the top individual plum after racking up 82.5 statistical points (SPs) built on averages of 18.9 points, 14.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 block in 14 games.
