Bishop Arturo Bastes is under fire for allegedly allowing the use of the Our Lady of Peñafrancia Seminary’s ground for a political rally as the 45-day campaign period for local candidates kicks off today.

Complaints against Bastes were filed by cause-oriented group Bayan at Mamamayan before the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) and the national office of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).
