Defending World Boxing Organization (WBO) interim bantamweight champion Johnriel Casimero had a hard time meeting the required 118-pound weight limit for his Saturday’s title defense against Mexican Cesar Ramirez at the San Andres Sports Complex in Malate, Manila.
Casimero, 30, was .8 over in his first try during the official weigh-in on Friday at the Tramway restaurant in Manila. He was given two hours by the WBO officials to shed weight.
