FOLLOWING the nationwide dengue outbreak, the Province of Cavite declared a state of calamity on Wednesday due to the increase in the number of dengue cases, according to Provincial Board Member Kerby Salazar.

Salazar, also the chairman of the Committee on Health, Nutrition and Population of the province, authored a resolution placing the province under a state of calamity and authorizing the use of P4 million for the immediate response to the issue.
