China joins Asean for first time in maritime exercises

CHINA will join Southeast Asian countries for the first time in maritime exercises that will most likely focus on humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR), the Department of National Defense (DND) said on Monday.

Arsenio Andolong, defense spokesman, cited that it would be the first time that the Philippines and China would hold exercises together on maritime patrol.
