BEIJING: China had promised four billion yuan ($588 million) in aid to Cambodia, the Southeast Asian country’s Prime Minister Hun Sen said Tuesday on a visit to Beijing.

Meanwhile, the Japanese government is providing $2 million to Cambodia through Unicef to implement a three-year project to end all forms of violence against children, with the expectation that more than one million vulnerable Cambodian children will receive better protection.
