The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Saturday said the visit of Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi to the Philippines on Sunday was rescheduled to a later date.
DFA Assistant Secretary Elmer Cato said the postponement was mutually agreed by both sides in deference to Filipinos directly affected by Typhoon Ompong. It would also allow the government to focus on rescue, recovery, and relief efforts.
