Development plans for the proposed Sangly airport are being firmed up, the Cavite provincial government claimed as it sought to dismiss doubts over its capability to pursue the project.

Cavite governor Jesus Crispin Remulla told reporters last week that he was talking to potential members of a consortium, including some of the country’s “biggest banks”, to fund the proposed alternative to Metro Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
