ENERGY Secretary Alfonso Cusi on Monday stepped down as chairman of the Philippine Electricity Market Corp. (PEMC), part of the company’s transfer of the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market’s (WESM) operations to an independent market operator (IMO).
In a press briefing, Cusi said his resignation was “an important step” and would “pave the way for independent stakeholders to be elected to [the] position.”
