Net income of state-run Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) rose to P1.57 billion in the first quarter of the year on the back of strong earnings from lending activities.
In a statement on Friday, DBP President and Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel Herbosa said the amount was 44 percent higher than the P1.09 billion posted in the same period last year.
