That, surely, is the bane about December 26. But forget about Sison. He is a non-sequitur in this discussion. Rather, keep the date in mind, enjoy the boon. On that day in 1893, Mao Zedong was born. In fact, it was a popular tale in the First Quarter Storm that Sison, who was intriguingly salaaming to China in organizing a revolution in the Philippines, deliberately chose December 26 as the founding date of the CPP in order to make it co-celebratory with Chairman Mao’s birthday.
