JOLO, Sulu: An influential Muslim politician has urged President Rodrigo Duterte to make good on his threat to establish a “revolutionary government,” so he could quickly reconfigure the country’s regions and shift to a federal form of government.

FATHER AND SON Sulu Governor Abdusakur “Toto” Tan 2nd (right) speaks during an executive session with local government officials of Sulu and military commanders in this file photo dated March 26, 2018. Beside him is his father, former governor Abdusakur Tan. The Tans are staunchly opposed to the Bangsamoro Organic Law, but are in favor of a federal government in which Sulu may be lumped together with richer provinces.
