THE Department of Health (DoH) recorded close to 56,000 dengue cases with 227 deaths for the first three months of 2019.
Data from the DoH’s epidemiology bureau showed that from January 1 to March 30, there was a total of 55,976 cases of the mosquito-borne illness. This is higher than the 31,247 cases, including 168 fatalities, reported in the same period last year.
