The Department of Justice (DoJ) has filed criminal charges against news website-turned-blog Rappler for publishing a malicious story against a trader at the height of an impeachment case against former chief justice Renato Corona.

Rappler was indicted for the crime of cyberlibel over an article it published about businessman Wilfredo Keng.
