Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat on Tuesday said she is eyeing the shutdown of non-compliant tourism establishments in El Nido, Palawan that continue to violate zoning and environmental laws.

Puyat said she wrote the local government of El Nido in September, urging them to address the easement issues, or the allowable distance from the beach where establishments could operate, and environmental problems of the Palawan tourist flock.
