COTABATO CITY: President Rodrigo Duterte led the symbolic inauguration of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) on Friday afternoon at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex in this city.
Prior to the BARMM inaugural ceremony, Bangsamoro officials led by Chief Minister Al-Hajj Murad Ebrahim elected a former member of the House of Representatives as the new speaker of their interim parliament, pending a regional election in 2022.
