PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the military to take over the Bureau of Customs (BOC), a few days after he ordered the sacking of all officials in the office.

In a speech during the birthday party of former Foreign Affairs secretary Alan Peter Cayetano late Sunday night, Duterte said this would be in effect until the government finds out how to deal with the rampant corruption in the Philippines.
