The enactment into law of the proposed Security of Tenure (SoT) bill will not only hurt the employers’ sector but the economy as a whole as it will discourage the entry of local and foreign direct investments into the country, according to the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP).

The bill is seen to end “endo” or end of contract employment, a practice wherein employees are hired for not more than 6 months.
