The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) on Friday said it would start accepting applications for the estate tax amnesty program on June 17, following the publication of its implementing rules and regulations.

Signed by Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez 3rd and Internal Revenue Commissioner Caesar Dulay on May 30, provisions under the Revenue Regulations 6-2019 of the BIR shall take effect after 15 days from the date of its publication (May 31) in a newspaper of general circulation or on June 15.
