All businesses start small. SM was once a small shoe shop and Jollibee was just an ice cream parlor in Cubao 40 years ago. For them, success was the product of hard work, strategy and probably a bit of luck. No special advantages were given to small players then and there was little to no support from the government. Now, however, there are numerous privileges given to budding entrepreneurs.
