NEW Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Chief Nicanor Faeldon officially took over the reins of the jail facility on Monday and immediately set his sights on moving the 300-hectare complex to two provinces in Luzon from Muntinlupa City.
Faeldon said the inmates and the bureau’s facilities would be transferred to Sablayan, Mindoro and Iwahig, Palawan on orders of President Rodrigo Duterte so that the Muntinlupa property could be leased to private investors and the income derived from it would be used for the operations of BuCor.
