NAVAL architects in the Philippines are excited over the ongoing construction in New Washington town in Aklan province of the P96-million “Hybrid Trimaran Project,” a fastcraft that would be utilizing mix of gas and ocean wave energy, which will be the first in the world.

Engineer Nonilo Peña, Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) technology division chief, said the project has been passing through several critiquing and assessment of several experts in the country.
