Foreign investment approvals rose in the third quarter of 2018, the government reported on Tuesday, despite only three out of seven monitored agencies having posted year-on-year gains.

Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) data showed that as a whole, the seven investment promotion agencies (IPAs) approved P45.855 billion in foreign pledges, up 6.5 percent from the P43.048 billion posted a year earlier.
