Filipino fishers should continue fishing in contested waters despite a ban announced by China, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said.
The summer fishing ban, which started on May 1, covers the Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, East China Sea and the South China Sea (West Philippine Sea), where Beijing has territorial disputes with the Philippines and other countries.
