The allocation for the Labor department’s emergency employment program will be more than doubled next year to allow government to give assistance to more Filipinos, the Department of Budget and Management said on Tuesday.

The department said a budget of P3.3 billion has been allocated for Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged (Tupad), 106 percent higher than this year’s allocation of P1.6 billion.
