“HANNA,” with international name “Lekima,” has intensified into a typhoon on Wednesday,  the state-run weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) spotted Hanna at 630 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes. It has intensified into a typhoon, carrying maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 160 kph. It was moving “slowly” in a north-northwest direction.
