SINCE time immemorial, the world’s expensive brew is from the civet cat coffee, also known as Indonesia’s ‘kopi luwak.’ In the Philippines, it is called by so many names depending on the location where the cat’s feces is found. In the Cordillera region, it is called ‘kape motit,’ in Tagalog areas, it is known as ‘kape alamid’ and in Mindanao, it is brewed as ‘kape musang.’
