Janet Abuel named acting Budget chief

Budget Undersecretary Janet Abuel had been named acting chief of the Department of Budget, Malacañang said on Tuesday, a day after announcing the appointment of Benjamin Diokno as governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

Panelo voiced optimism that Diokno’s appointment will be approved by the Commission on Appointments since the former Budget secretary “is a man of integrity, competence and expertise.”
