Embassy of Japan’s Minister Makoto Iyori attended the turnover ceremony of equipment for power distribution in Bangsamoro Area on August 14.

The project aims to increase the possible power transmission capacity by approximately 1.4 times while reducing power distribution loss, length of power outages, and other such problems in Bangsamoro Area including Zamboanga and the Sulu archipelago. Not only will it stabilize power supply, but more importantly, result in the improvement of social services for local residents to reap the dividends of peace that come with the progress of the peace process.
