The Supreme Court (SC) has been urged to declare as illegal and unconstitutional an award given by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to PLDT Inc./Smart Communications Inc. and Globe Telecoms involving a 700 megahertz (MHz) broadcast frequency and other telecommunication frequencies.
In a 48-page petition for mandamus, petitioners and lawyers Joseph Lemuel Baligod Baquiran and Ferdinand Tecson sought to declare the contract as null and void.
