PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has announced the suspension of a law requiring bigger motorcycle license plates and imposing stiff fines, following an intervention by Sen. Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito on behalf of motorists.

Ejercito said Duterte’s decision, announced on Saturday before motorcycle enthusiasts at the 25th National Federation of Motorcycle Clubs of the Philippines’ National Motorcycle Convention in Iloilo City, showed that the Chief Executive was a “listening president.”
