THE Liberal Party of the Philippines (LP) vowed to continue fighting for democracy against “liars and brutal killers” the way its leaders did, as they flocked to Plaza Miranda in Manila to commemorate the 47th anniversary of its bombing.

Joyce Magat from the LP Metro Manila chapter said the party needed to protect the democracy the people won on February 25, 1986 through  a peaceful revolt, which the Duterte administration was “shamelessly destroying”.
