A magnitude 4.6 earthquake hit Quezon City on Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Philvolcs) said.

The quake that struck at 9:56 a.m. was located 7 kilometers (km) in Panukulan. It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 1 km.
