A magnitude 5.3 earthquake was recorded 22 kilometers northwest of Burgos, Ilocos Norte on Sunday, according to the Philippine Institue of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The quake, tectonic in origin, happened at 3:46 a.m. and had a depth of 22 kilometers.
