TYPHOON Mangkhut continues to intensify and affect parts of Northern Luzon as it travels towards the country the state-run weather bureau said on Wednesday.

On the recent weather bulletin published by the Phillippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the typhoon was last seen 1,845 kilometers (km) East of Southern Luzon, with maximum sustained winds of 200 kilometer per hour (kp/h) and gustiness of up to 210 km/h.
