The soon-to-rise 400-hectare Bulacan Mega City that will be constructed in three municipalities of the province — Pandi, Balagtas and Bocaue — is expected to create 100,000 jobs for Bulacan residents.

Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino Sy Alvarado appointed former Pandi mayor Enrico Roque to start preliminary negotiations for the project with a group of Chinese investors from Hunan Province in China, who are eyeing to invest P50 billion in Bulacan after the signing of a sisterhood agreement between the two provinces on Oct. 16, 2018 at the Sofitel Hotel in Pasay City.
