MILITANT groups, acting as consumers of Manila Water Co. Inc., filed a petition on Monday asking the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) Regulatory Office to hold the Ayala-led utility to account for the water shortage in parts of Metro Manila and Rizal province.
The petition, which sought penalties on Manila Water, was filed by Bagong Alyansang Makabayan Secretary General Renato Reyes Jr. and Bayan Muna Rep. Carlos Isagani Zarate, along with three other consumers.
