THE need for more sports facilities, “core teams” and stable allowances were among the main concerns raised by Filipino athletes before the Senate on Thursday during the finance committee hearing on the proposed P245.3 million budget for the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara, chairman of the finance subcommittee C, to air their concerns and suggestions on how to help improve Philippines sports and the performance of the athletes.
