The number of families that saw themselves poor rose to 11.1 million in the second quarter this year, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.
The poll, conducted from June 22 to 26, showed that 45 percent of the 1,200 respondents rated themselves poor, 7 percentage points higher than the 38 percent recorded in March 2019.
