SEVERAL power projects, including that of an Aboitiz Group unit, have been classified as energy projects of national significance, the Department of Energy (DoE) announced on Wednesday.
According to the department, the Energy Investment Coordinating Council, which it heads, issued certificates of energy project of national significance (CEPNS) for pre-development phase to SN Aboitiz Power Inc.’s Alimit Hydroelectric Power Plant in Ifugao province and state-run PNOC Exploration Corp. to its Service Contract (SC) 59 in offshore southwest Palawan province.
