Local enterprises were urged by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to increase their participation in the global halal industry to maximize market opportunities.
Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, in a statement on Thursday, encouraged the domestic industry to develop more halal-certified products amid the growing export market for the sector.
