NETIZENS reacted positively to the graft conviction of Ilocos Norte Rep. and former first lady Imelda Marcos, saying that justice has finally been served while some expect her to be on a wheelchair and neck brace soon – a reference to then president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo during her own trial for corruption.
The Sandiganbayan fifth division found Marcos guilty in seven of 10 cases that were filed against her over a span of 27 years and was sentenced from 6 to 11 years of imprisonment for every case and disqualification from holding public office.
