THE New People’s Army (NPA) burned a daycare center in Magpet, North Cotabato, according to belated reports reaching the Philippine Army on Thursday.
Lt. Col. Ehrlich Noel Paraso, commander of the Army’s 19th Infantry Battalion, said 25 NPA rebels swooped down on the daycare center at Purok 6, Barangay Mahongcog in Magpet on Monday, tying the hands of the teacher—whom he refused to identify—and seized the identification card, which they also burned.
