A petition seeking the nullification of the ratification of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) in Cotabato City has been filed before the Supreme Court (SC).
Named respondent in the case was the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in its official capacity as the National Plebiscite Board of Canvassers (NPBC) for its alleged failure to comply with the requirement of Republic Act (RA) 11054 and for holding the plebiscite beyond the legally prescribed period without justifiable cause.
