TODAY is the formal launch of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) OFW e-card for membership and benefits. This is in line with the mandate of the agency under Republic Act 10801 (or the OWWA Act) to issue e-cards to its members as proof of membership. With the OFW e-card, OWWA aims to integrate digital technology into all areas of its core functions and business processes. Hopefully, this digital transformation will result in fundamental changes to how the agency operates and how it delivers its programs and services to its clients — its member-OFWs.
