OLONGAPO CITY: Saying the Office of the Ombudsman’s decision to suspend them for six months over a simple misconduct was excessive, Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino and other city officials said on Monday they would not step down pending their application for a temporary restraining order (TRO) with the Court of Appeals (CA).

‘DEATH OF DEMOCRACY’ Three coffins were placed infront of the city hall by supporters of Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino in what they claim as the death of democracy in the city as other supporters gather in front of the city hall in anticipation of the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s serving of Notice of Suspension to the officials for simple misconduct.
