Ombudsman Samuel Martires ordered the withdrawal of motions seeking the preventive suspension of incumbent officials facing charges.

Martires’ order, which directs the withdrawal of "[a]ll motions for suspension pendente lite [pending litigation] which have been filed before the issuance of this Memorandum but which remain unresolved by the trial courts,” prompted prosecutors handling the graft cases against Sen. Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan 2nd to file an urgent manifestation with ex-parte motion asking the Ombudsman to reconsider his order in relation to the senator.
