P200-million in working capital has been committed by the Department of Agriculture (DA) to onion farmers associations so they can buy the produce of their members amid alleged price manipulation by traders.
The fund will be released through the DA’s Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC), Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol said.
